The Scandinavia Hotel\'s building dates from the year 1000 (the walls and foundations are from Byzantine times); according to legend it was here the pretty Desdemona first met the Moor Othello, at a party. In the early 1950\'s the residence was turned into a hotel by the Tinacci family, which vaunts a long tradition in the hotel business and which invites guests to their noble residence, offering relax, comfort, service and atmosphere.
Located in the Santa Maria Formosa square, in the old city centre, the hotel is easy to reach with public transport both from the Rialto Bridge and from Saint Mark\'s square.
