From its vantage point on San Clemente Island in the centre of the lagoon, the San Clemente Palace boasts views of Piazza San Marco (St. Mark\'s Square), Giudecca Island and the Lido. The San Clemente Island with its 4 acres of centuries-old park is a natural oasis of peace. The San Clemente Palace along with its lovely and precious church, built in 1131, and courtyards are the only constructions on the island.
